Ready to go...

FROM SISTER PECK:
Here are some pictures of my last couple days. Lauren checks me in at the McCarren airport. [editors note: Rhonda's mom and the Vances dropped her off at the airport] It was my last time to be alone. Weird! At the gate we were told that our flight may be cancled or delayed due to weather- said a little prayer and we made it but it was my last amusement ride. I've never flown with my stomach up in the air the whole time due to ups and downs like a rollercoaster. On the other end [of the flight I] ran into Barabara Stewart. She belongs to Grammy and Pappy Vance's FHE group. She came up to me and said I looked familar. She did to me as well. We made the connection quickly and embraced. I love hugs. Am going to miss them. Another answer to pray wanted to be able to contact Tara to tell her my flight had made it. Another prayer answered.

Tara was my companion for five hours. It's great to have friends, who support you in all your endeavors. I got to hear about mission plans and listen to a song entitled Wonderful for Disney's Earth day documentary. It was fun to hear all Tara's upcoming adventures. She took me to Sister Missionary Mall where I was able to find skirts that hit the 3/4 mark. Utah has everything one needs. Another blessing.

Claudia, a life long family friend of the Beckstead's, was working at Sister Missionary Mall. I was so excited to she her. She was able to help me find cute things that fit the mold of sister missionary. Best part is Claudia normally would not having been working last night. Another tender mercy of the Lord.

Sister Allred sends me Aloha in person while it is snowing here in beautiful Utah. This meant a lot to be sent off by one of my many moms. I also got to meet Jenny (Pic 014) Darcie's older sister that I remind her of. I truly feel blessed to be so loved.

(Outfit she is going into the MTC in)

I am ready to check in a little over an hour. Keep you posted. Thanks to everyone who got me here. Lots of love and aloha.Sister Peck

We arent too sure if Rhonda will have email in the MTC (heard conflicting info) so write lots of letters :) And remember if you are sending her anything keep in mind of her food allergies (no wheat, no milk and no rice)

  1. okay, now I get it, Lauren must be the dude at the counter. For a minute I was confused. haha! Dear Elder.com is the best for communicating at the MTC. I wrote to my granddaughter who is now in the Mississippi mission. I love free, and easy. It is the best.
