It's snowing again will winter ever end but their is hope the sun is staying up longer. =)
Hi from Snowy Cheney. The world is becoming white and cold again. We were able to make an arrangement with the other Sisters and now have a schedule for the use of the car! Sister Hughes is most pleased and I am getting to drive more frequently again. The other Sisters are having adjustment issues but sacrifice just makes you stronger.
This last week Mike L. set a date to be baptized! March 26, here we come. He'll be baptized at the same time as his son, John. Nicole is delighted. We all are. He's been living the Word of Wisdom for a week. He still needs a lot of prayers so please remember him. He's gaining more and more strength to do what's right and he's doing it for himself what makes it even better.
Tracy is alive. We had lost contact with her but we were finally invited back after being able to call her. It was disheartening not to be able to answer her question as well as was needed, but I know as she continues to do what we invite her to do that she'll gain her witness.
The meal policy has changed here. The members are a little frazzled by the new rule that in order to feed us on weekdays they must have a nonmember present. It's going to be an interesting adjustment phase and we shall see how they rise to the occasion.
So my favorite thing from this last week is that I am still using what I learned in Chad Ford's classes about the box. President Palmer knows about the box which made it so much easier to relate to him the interactions with our new ward mission leader. Luckily we were able to have an out of the box experience. That was an exact answer to my prayers.
We are working on finding and have begun to see miracles. Like yesterday when the one young man we went to contact was at the residence but he no longer lives there. It was one of those moments you know who you are being lead for.
Mike G. is doing amazing. He is truly teaching me. His lessons are sacred. The Spirit comes so strong. It is beautiful to be a part of his journey back. The Spirit has been inspiring me with scriptures and commitments to invite with. It's truly changing how I teach. We even used a song to reflect on and talk about light and how we can trust. He is so engaged in his own conversion. He's lending a hand and at everything he can be at. It makes this month’s Ensign so much more applicable to see it happening.
Tyler has been teaching us. He made his own lesson plans and had added questions to get our involvement. They were application questions, but it also helped him to answer some of his concerns and to help strengthen his testimony. What was treasured is he was able to recognize the Spirit working with him to be quiet and listen. I know the Holy Ghost is real. We can truly make him our friend and he'll trust and confide in us so we can do the Lord's will.
I love this gospel. It's true. You find out by living it. We have been striving to live our purpose. It's an amazing experience to know whose you are and who you are.
Hope everyone is having missionary experiences. "I pray, get answers, & do what am told." If we did this we would all be better - people in every aspects of our lives.
Love you all bunches
Love forever and always Sister Peck

Having some fun on P-day

Happy Valentine’s Day- Feb 14

Aloha Everyone,
So it's been another week. Oh how the times flies. Sister Hughes is a blast. It serving with your best friend. We laugh at the chaos and mishaps and illness and look forward with optimism for the next day. She has the patience to deal with our new ward mission leader, which I currently lack. Oh Vey. But I am praying for an out of the box experience. It will happen.
I hope you have all made your Mormon.org profiles. And that you're finishing the Book of Mormon today! I am excited to hear about your experiences.

Tyler passed the sacrament for the first time on Sunday. He is amazing. I can't believe the joy that comes from seeing one progress in the gospel. He is so willing to do whatever is asked of him. I've also come to know how much culture is involved in the church. I am learning that not everyone knows what a bishopric is and how we tend to over look our ventricular and corks of normal. We truly are a peculiar people.

We finally got into to see Ray again! We found out his hesitance to start this process over again. He has humored other missionaries before after being devastated 7 years ago of not being baptized on the day he had set. It's complicated and has offense that has built a wall over the years. But I saw a little more clearly the power of our influence on people as missionaries and members of the Church. We have an impact in all aspects of our lives. It is so important to live what we believe not only Sundays because people see who we are and what we are about. He's got potential and I told him would do the lessons the non kosher way. Seeking inspiration.

Mike is on date again. This time we are investing a lot more in helping him succeed. He needs prayers. He is struggling and feeling left behind. He even had a dream about it. We found out because Mike was not at Church again. We went over after all our meetings and chatted about how sometimes we can be the obstacle in our own path to happiness. It was truly amazing the Spirit that came as we expressed our love and concern for him and that we believe in him. We left sticky notes all over their house. Notes of encouragement. Sticky's have made my mission. They let someone know you care and that you were there.
I still have hope in Mike to make it. I have a feeling he'll be baptized on the same day as his son. I realized how much responsibility we have to help him reach his potential. Now we're cheerleaders too.

The YSA have been amazing in wanting to participate in missionary efforts here. Now we need to find people to teach.

On Thursday Sister Hughes had an allergic reaction and her face swelled and turned puffy. What an adventure. Luckily the Assistants came to help us transition Jason, who unfortunately did not make his lesson, and were able to get blessings. I love the priesthood. I see it's power in my life and the lives these young Elders who I serve amongst. In my blessing it talked of how I would be a beacon of light. It was profound and simple. I know whose light I am to emulate- Christ. He lives and I know Him. He is in the details of His work and in our lives. In a lesson this week I made this statement but as I ponder it I see more and more how I need to live it. He (Jesus Christ) took a chance on us so let us take a chance on Him. I love this gospel and know that it is true. He gives me strength and tolerance and acceptance but most important love and joy.

Hope you all have a great week. Know that your love strengths and lifts me.

Love you all bunches.
Forever and always

Goals- Feb 7

Hi Everyone!
Luckily my Spirits are high because all the snow melted over the night. That's a miracle and an answer to my prayers.

Sister Hughes have set our vision high. We make our weekly goals to reach the standard of excellence for the mission. This is a huge change for me. Wanting to surpass the exceptions set for us. The mission set a new goal for baptisms this year 1011. It's off to a great start. In order for the mission to reach this goal each of the 94 companionships can help by having one person prepared and baptized every month. For me to be excited about that is really change in vision. Before the mission anytime I heard baptisms is the purpose of missionary work I would become flustered. I still do sometimes to be quite honest. But this last week we had an amazing District meeting facilitated by Elder Nelson. He asked us what our purpose was in three words. He took us to the scriptures where we were taught by the Spirit that our purpose is to Establish the Church. That's our purpose to build up the kingdom of God on the Earth. It just resonated within me. Knowing what is accepted always clears the path way and the goals that help you get there. I am always looking for lifelong goals for my 101 things to do in this life. I found it. The mini goals that help us each eternal goals helps the sacrifices, the stretching, and the joy that much more meaningful. (D&C 100:5-8; 84:85). We get what we focus on. I really enjoyed teaching and understanding the temple and the assurance and promise of aiming our attention their. Our desires grow more sincere and the Spirit more evident in our lives. The desire to attend entices people to commitment and leave their old selves behind in order to reach their potential and to achieve their goals. I've seen this in my own life but most recently with the people here. When we have a righteous desire the Lord will endorse us to get there. That's why I have hope in the individuals Heavenly Father has entrusted to us. Witnessing the change in Jessica J., Mike G., Mike and Nicole, Justin, Jason and so many others you can't help but witness God's love for His children.
So not only did we have colds this past week but so did a lot of those we teach. We not only share the message we have but germs too. So it made it difficult to meet with Mike and Nicole and Tracy. This week should be better. Mike and Nicole expressed their desire to have the girls back in their home. I love it.
Tuesday I was privileged to have Sister Naylor on exchanges. She is amazing. She taught me more about planning out the details and anticipating changes. It's amazing to serve with such amazing young people who love the Lord and who get it. We saw so many miracles that day. From Johnathan, 7, who despises the Sisters, prayer who asked that we would come back and that he would be prepared to be baptized. Our pool of teaching little kids this last week increased by 4 families with children 12 and under. It's been an interesting time of patience to push through the chaos and invite the Spirit. But it happens. One little boy at dinner last night told me he didn't believe me. So the good news is that I am still being antagonized and staying on my toes but most importantly that I love what am doing. We found Leah and Ronald that night. Ronald was in a wheel chair and Lead was pushing a baby stroller with little Emma. We had the car and were deciding where to go and the impression kept coming get out and push him. The sense got stronger and stronger. I didn't even communicate my intentions but got out of the car and offered to push. It was my time to pay it forward. Ronald accepted the service gladly. It was a day of miracles and I am so glad for the promptings of the Spirit. We were able to share with them over the next couple of nights. They aren't ready for change but seeds have been planted and I know that my life is better because of knowing them.
Cheri came out with us Saturday. What was only suppose to be an hour of her day became the rest of her day. She was so willing to come and help us. We went from place to place and were able to reach people. It was beautiful. I love members who help us out. Cheri is amazing but we have had the most luck with having members who are always willing to serve.
Miracle - Tyler bore his testimony for the first time yesterday. He just glowed and had this assurance about him, although he was nervous and read from his journal. The Plan of Salvation means something to him because he knows it's true and he know where he is in it. He has also gotten the Spirit of Elijiah.(sp?) He understands and is already engaged in doing his genealogy for his family. He reminds me this is all worth it.
One last thing. We are now on mormon.org. The Church has an amazing way for us to share our beliefs. It's amazing. I'm a Mormon is great. Please help the work by creating your own profile so people can go and read who we are and how individual the gospel is. It’s exciting to be a part of this work at this time. It's easy and all you need is your membership record number and a testimony. It's on the top create a profile. Let me know how it goes.
Remember 1 week is left for finishing the Book of Mormon on 2-14-11. I can't wait to hear how it has turned out for all of you who chose to act on my invitation. I love the Book of Mormon. It has such a power that no other book does to change our lives for the better. Don't forget to set your goals high. Begin with an end in mind and then plan accordingly.
God Bless. Love and miss you all.
Love your Sister Peck
always and forever.

Another Week! 9 months and counting- Jan 31

Aloha Everyone.
The snow has melted but the temperatures have dropped again. Not thrilled. I was finally adapting to the 30's as warm and less layers.
My Birthday was a blast. I'll have to get the pictures from Sister Ginos. Trisha and the Sisters planned a surprise party for me. I was difficult at all. Yeah right. I gave them a hard time all along the way. Asking questions and finding loops in their explanations. Wayne was more surprised when he got home than I was. I love it. Nicole made a gluten free, milk free cake that was delicious. Thanks Savanna for the cake mix. Thanks for everyone remembering my day. You guys all make it special because am loved by so many. Know that your loved by me and your thoughts, prayers, cards, letters, etc. are appreciated so much. Sister Hughes was a great sport about having her preparation day be Sister Peck's birthday celebration.

Tyler is amazing. He taught us the Plan of Salvation. He even made his own props and I was so impressed with him. Later in the week we were able to talk about the resurrection and patriarchal blessings. It answered one of his concerns of how do we know where we are going because life is this cycle of do's that just keep repeating. It is amazing to see his understanding grow. He also had one of his in depth questions answered simple in the gospel principles manual. That is such an amazing resource.

Justin prayed out loud for the first time. Jason doesn't want to meet with Elders. It is always something. President was so prompt in answering my email last week I got a call from him on my birthday. Normally Sister Palmer is the only one we get to hear from and I was blessed with both. He talked about how much Sister Palmer cares about me and how she didn't want to forget my day because of transfers and new missionaries. She didn't! Anyways we'll get to teach with the Assistants in trying to transition Jason over to the Elders. Hopefully that will all work out. We are also going to get to do exchanges tomorrow!! I am excited to work with Sister Naylor and for her to give me some insight into those we are working with here. Sister Hughes was nervous, but she was finally starting to feel like she was getting to know people and where things are. It's only for a day. And exchanges for Sisters is a big deal. =)

Tracy is amazing. Her countenance is changing so much. She is asking meaningful questions and beginning to want to understand more. Mckenna signed up to fed us on a missionary moment night to invite those not of our faith over. She didn't have anyone and so we asked to invite Tracy. She was so appreciative. It was fun to see her light up and to meet new people. So ask the missionaries who they are teaching and invite them to dinner. Great opportunity. We also were able to see how in-tune Tracy is already with the Spirit. She has had some amazing experiences. The Spirit came so strong in her home as we read from the scriptures and we all we able to have our understanding increase. I found how much prayer is an evaluation of what has been understood during a lesson. It truly shows what has been taught through the Spirit as one you teach prays. It is such a tender mercy.

We are trying to build our teaching pool. Especially after being chastised by our new Zone Leader- We are doing a lot more to be organized and facilitate missionary work with our wards. I've seen the blessings already. We are praying to find YSA women to teach and the Lord lead us to Brianna. She was waiting at a less actives apartment waiting for him to resurface. She was beautiful. We got talking. She is attending U of I and I love Moscow. She was taken back. Found out she was told that if you weren't a Mormon you can't go to church there. I told yes she is invited and two the all our church buildings say visitors welcome. We were able to call the Elders in Moscow and hopefully they have contacted her. She had been thinking she needed to go back to Church. The Lord is truly aware of his children.
I have learned a lot about the power of repentance this last week. We are working with a young man here who wants to come back. I've had friends like him who have strayed but in his eyes you can see the glimmer of hope that this is true and that there is power in the atonement to heal and be forgiven. I was inspired to bring a copy of "Lost and Found" a card with my favorite Greg Olsen picture of the Savior and a young man. I gave it to him and he saw himself in the picture. I loved it. It was a moment I'll treasure forever. The Spirit is so strong in his lessons and he is so willing to do whatever is asked of him. He even came to the 9 am session of Stake Conference because we invited him. Stake Conference here was beautiful. The Special Session Tracy and Jackson came, along with Tyler too. Jackson paid attention to Robert Mormon. He as recent convert. Wow. He gets it. He talked about authority and how he knew that Joseph Smith was given that authority and how it is still here. It was beautiful.

Way excited for the work. Sister Hughes' excitement has caught a hold of me. We caught Mike's and Nicole's family cold but we are still engaged in the work. This gospel is true. If you are struggling find your knees and pray. The answers will come. The atonement is real. Love is powerful. Remember the are 14 more days to finish the Book of Mormon. I can't wait to hear your experiences with reading it this time and the miracles you have witnessed.
Love you all more than you know.
Love your Sister Peck

Happy Birthday to me! =)-JAN 24

Sorry for the lack of contact this last week. Ran out of time. We got to visit the Spokane temple. It was truly a beautiful day. Sister Palmer was able to attend with us which was an absolute delight. We had Sister Exchanges! And I am training. Sister Hughes. She is my newbee. They no longer use the term greenie. =? She is a Visa waiter for Brazil. Crazy. I got the voice mail last Wednesday at 9:15 after our last teaching appointment ended. Wasn't expecting it but am enjoying the new responsibility. Am sure no one is surprised. I am finally beginning to feel better. The snow has melted! Which I am ecstatic about. The freezing cold rain is great compared to the snow. It's still cold. But am anticipating Spring.

We have experienced so many miracles. Mike is praying about a date he is finally engaged in his conversion process. Justin is an amazing young man. We were prompted Sister Ginos and me to share the plan of salvation with him. It was beautiful. At the end of lesson we found out that his friend had been killed and I got this overwhelming feeling through the Spirit that we had shared exactly what our Heavenly Father wanted to express to him. I love those moments. Tracy is amazing. Hopefully they'll all come to stake conference this weekend. Because of the crazy Sister situations this week I got to go and see Bob and Anna. They are doing amazing the Spirit was so strong in their home as we held a mini testimony meeting. I love this gospel. We were able to find and tract this week. I was thrilled. We directed in so many ways of where to go.
We finally had Restoration Sunday in the YSA ward. It was amazing to see their excitement to share the gospel this last week. We were able to teach all four us the plan of salvation for Sunday School. I love teaching like that. I miss it a lot. I was humbled to be teaching. I was struggle with the open your scriptures and the answer will be there. But Sunday morning I prayed, I've noticed my prayers have become more sincere and earnest, then opened my scriptures and saw that there was highlighting on the page before. And this is what I read Alma 42:31. I inserted daughter. It was exactly how the Lord wanted to direct me. I know that this gospel has the power to change lives. It brings happiness. I love and miss you all.
Love always and forever

It's Cold outside and the gospel is still true- Jan 10

Aloha Everyone.
It's four weeks into the transfer and I am still meeting those that we are teaching. It's crazy just because the holiday season is over we are still trying to contact those from before. We finally got back in contact with Jason. Still don't know his last name. He is very inquisitive and ask questions for understanding. I love that. He is taking the initiative to learn the gospel. We invited him to be baptized. He said he will but won't set a date because that is like marriage. He's got a point and understands the commitment he'll be making with the Lord! That excites me. There are so many wonderful young people it amazes me.

Tracy came to Church for the first time yesterday! I was over joyed! She looked uncomfortable at first but as the block continued she just lights up. You could see it in her smile.

We spent a lot of time with Mike and family this week. They are amazing. I am trying to have faith that Mike will make his date for this Saturday. Last night we witnessed a miracle. On Friday we had training with our Zone and we learned about concerning needs. I've been praying to be able to help Mike with his concerns and while we were there his home teachers came last night. They did such a great job and we just got to watch. After they left we invited Mike to pray to know if this is true. He was reluctant and hesitant as he offered up his words but was able to exercise his faith at the end and he asked. Now we are waiting on the answer and Mike. I have really come to love their family. I've been dreaming about them dressed in white in the temple. It is the most beautiful sight. That is truly a witness to me that Mike will act and that the temple is where God wants all of His children.
Tyler is the newest member of the YSA ward here! What a week. So Tyler's facebook message was responded with text messages from his mom. He was thrilled to later in the week receive a note in the mail that she is happy for him that he has found God and that she is in the same journey. I am sure the Lord is preparing her for missionaries soon to find her. Maybe sooner than later. Tyler was so excited. Watching him change and witnessing his baptism was beautiful and eventful. The building was locked and our keys didn't work. Luckily, our Bishop in the first ward came to our rescue and helped us fill the font. I had to graciously accept the help but in hindsight it helped to know I wasn't on my own. Then speakers and choristers were no shows, it happens when EWU is playing in the championship game and one of the Bishopric members baby is sick. But the ward just stepped in and everything went smoothly. Tyler was unaware of the changes. Watching Tyler come into the water with the most sober look and then waiting for the all good- His face just beamed. It was a terrific moment. Sunday he gave us a scare when we didn't see him in the congregation to be confirmed. Luckily it was Ward Conference and time was stalled until he got there. It was amazing to watch him sustain the leadership of the Church. I don't know how to describe it other than you feel joy.

Leadership training was amazing. President and Sister Palmer were there. I love being able to learn how to accomplish the Lord's work and how to follow the Spirit more closely.

This is Sister Hirata's last week. She'll return to temple square next Wednesday. Next Tuesday will be preparation day and we'll be able to attend the temple.
Hope you are all finding ways to share the gospel and that your testimonies are growing. Remember the Book of Mormon challenge. 2/14/11. You'll find amazing treasures as you read and finish by then. Please send me your experiences as you complete it. I know that book is true. It brings such power into our lives. I felt the power of conversion that comes from reading it and how it has the power to changes lives as I've shared with others. One treasure I acquired this Sunday was that it is about families and relationships and how we can strengthen ours. Continue to be faithful.
Love you all bunches
Love always,
Sister Peck

Happy New Year- Jan 3

Aloha Everyone!
Hope 2011 is starting off to a great start.

This last week was another interesting weather week of 8 inches of snow and negative numbers at night. We bundle up a lot. A lot of our appointments fell through this last week and New Year’s Day I had the flu. =) Life of a missionary is not the greatest when you're under the weather but Today I feel better and am excited for the new week- EWU is back in session and we'll be able to find more people to teach!
Mike L. needs your prayers. He has set a new baptismal date. I broke it down - He has to quite smoking and drinking coffee before he gets baptized. Also that if he wants Sister Hirata to be there it has to be before the 19th of January because she goes back to Temple Square. He chose January 15. On Sunday you could see a change in his countenance. There is more determination to succeed! I am excited for him and know he can make it and continue forward. His lesson New Years Eve was adorable as his two little ones helped us jam out Follow the Prophet. We sang it as a intro to the lesson because while reviewing the lesson required before baptism when asked have you had the lesson Follow the Prophet - He respond the Song- Yeah. So the song was part of the lesson of course. We are so blessed to know their family. Nicole and Mike have the biggest hearts. When you serve and teach, you can’t help but find a place for them in your heart.
Tyler is getting ready to be baptized this Friday! We are so excited. He's ready but has this catch phrase if this is true than means all the rest is true too? Earlier in the week our appointment ran late and we were late for his but he waited the 30 or so minutes for us in the cold. He just desires to know. He read from the October Ensign about prophets and took notes and even wrote down his question. It was really deep question about the Heavenly messengers. I told him after he receives the Holy Ghost that it will increase his understanding. That was sufficient for him. But the questions he asks, shows that he is internalizing the message and that the Spirit is working with him. It makes me so excited for him. He was nervous about telling his mom that he's getting baptized this weekend. Last night we received a text if facebook messaging her was an okay means of telling her of his decision. It gave us a good laugh but we are waiting the results and praying that his mom is okay with his decision.

Michelle was baptized Friday night! We got to be there. She looked so beautiful in her white jump suit. There was just this sweet Spirit there. She had a smile on the whole evening. What a great way to end the year!

For New Years Eve we got to watch a missionary movie! Movie Night and all. It was fun to be spiritually uplifted. I can now understand why President approved missionary movies to be viewed instead of Disney ones. We watched the Errand of Angels. It was all about Sister Missionaries. We had great laughs as we could relate to the nuances throughout the film. Hope that you can all see it too.
Wednesday, after the snow storm the night before, we embarked to District Meeting. I had the training and know that Elder La Bonte was relieved when we arrived. It was on the importance of commitments and helping people to keep commitments. Invitations to change is repentance. It is so beautiful. We have the opportunity to help people succeed. I love that. I focused on the eternal perceptive and why we ask and how we follow up. Follow up is one of the hardest things to do. And to evaluate. But we made goals and worked on ways we can help those we teach come closer to their Savior. I've found the post-its are the most beneficial resource besides my scriptures.

Sunday night all four Sisters lead a discussion for the Single Adults Fireside. It was amazing to share about how we can do missionary work and where we can start. We filled up the blackboard with ways to share the treasure we have but it came down to example and opening our mouths.

Love you all bunches be safe and make goals that will last the whole year through! =) Hope they include missionary goals too.
Love always and forever

PICTURES FROM CHRISTMAS

12/27/2010- Dear Santa

Dear Santa I can explain...
There was no time for a letter this year. =) We were busy tracting in the snow.

Hi Everyone. Mele Kalikimaka. Thank you to everyone who made Christmas amazing for me. There were plenty of members here who added to the celebration of the Saviors birth for us. I got a glimpse of what it's like to be a multiple. 4 Sisters and identical but individual presents. It was fun. I even received a package for USPS from Santa. It was truly a special time to be His representative. I have never enjoyed Christmas more. While people were not receptive to our message they were kinder in there rejections and more people smiled and waved back as we passed them on the street. Two Christmas Eve miracles. We were able to get the ward involved to help one our investigators son's have Christmas. Sister Powell did an amazing job at throwing it together a day and half before Christmas. It was exciting to see Sister Hirata enjoy her first American Christmas included with the giving, not to mention over eating. It was a truly amazing time as we delivered the box of goodies and presents. The mom of this little boy was so grateful. Next miracle was finding Cathy. We had been tracting and had no success. Members were out preparing last minute things and my toes were cold despite all these events I felt this strong impression to knock on this one door. We knocked and Cathy came and was so pleased to see us. She use to have more contact with the Sisters. We invited her to the Powell Christmas Eve Dinner, included with the Nativity and all the fun of having 11 kids. She came and brought her 2 year old daughter. We later found out that Sister May is her daughter's preschool teacher. Sister May was ecstatic and is excited to get involved inviting her to other activities. Sister May is amazing woman. I've been truly blessed to meet her. Her son is serving in Atlanta, GA and made an excellent team teacher at our lessons this past week. Go Sister May. Way to be.

Christmas Day Debbie had us over to open presents and have breakfast. I created a couple of Dream about Angels crafts for her to enjoy. We had a blast talking to everyone on the phone. I know my morale was boasted from hearing everyone excitement and love. The Hulls signed up to have us over for dinner and shortly after we were dropped off at the Anderson's for dinner number two. Don's son Keith has stage for cancer and is struggling in his plight to help his son (please remember them in your prayers) while all that was going on he took the time to pull out the Christmas decorations and made the house beautiful for his other daughters (his Sisters).Peggy his wife had us 4 Sisters for the evening. She teased me how I join families. It's true.=) George Kiddoo finished the Book of Mormon by Christmas! I gave him the invitation in August. He did it! =) He called and left me a message right after he finished. It's amazing how our lives get woven together. We also got to go and see Trisha and Wayne and girls. It was special to be with them and share about the Savior's birth. I meet Trisha's mom and expressed my love and friendship for her daughter. She appreciated it. She told me that she has heard a lot about me and Sister Vathauer. =)

Zone Conference was amazing. It's something I always anticipate. It's so much fun to see the Elders and feel of their strength and love. The sweet Sisters from the Spokane Stake, who prepared lunch for us expressed their gratitude for my food allergies because they were able to prepare a health lunch for the Elders too. We got broccoli!=) I enjoyed it. Testimony meeting was powerful. When the time got turned over to us after Sister Palmer's present to us of a slide show of the mission(coming soon to Savanna, maybe it can be posted on the blog. It's beautiful). My own words came back to my thoughts, I'll give Him my witness as my gift. I shared my witness with some amazing Elders. The Spirit was there and you knew He lives.

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas. Hope you took time to find a place for the Savior in your heart all year long. The gospel truly changes lives so allow it to change yours. Happy New Year. Be safe. Make goals that are obtainable.
Love always
Your Sister Peck

12/20/2010- Merry Christmas

Aloha! The snow has returned. I am not exactly thrilled but am learning to love it. The world looks completely different covered in snow. Pure, clean and serene. Even while tracting. It adds a little enchantment to our days here.

Transfers brought change and I am still trying to catch up and know everyone. We have a pretty good teaching pool and are preparing a couple of people for baptism the beginning of next year. Way exciting. Cortney,(right spelling), was baptized this weekend. Getting the details worked out took hours of phone calls. It was a lot of work. We weren't able to attend her baptism because she was baptized in the Stake Center by the temple. We were still ecstatic for her. She was so excited. She wasn't golden, she is a diamond. The scripture from Mosiah 18 about the people clapping for joy, Cortney could have leaped buildings. The cherry on the cake is that her boyfriend who is serving his mission in Paraguay doesn't know yet. He'll find out on Christmas. =)

Tracting produced miracles. We were able to contact Tracy. It was amazing. She met the Elders on Monday in Spokane during fear busting and is so ready for the gospel. We tried a couple of times through the week but without success. Thursday with appointments falling through we hit the streets of Cheney. It was rough but kept going. Most people were nicer because it Christmas time. We headed over towards Tracy's and Sister Hirata felt we should knock on a door. This young lady from China opened the door and let us in. She believes there is a God. She told us of how they are taught God doesn't exist but she just knows. Her friend was not interested in what we had to share but Taoren was captivated. She wasn't ready to meet with us. It made the several hours of being exposed to the elements worth it.

My exciting news is I finished the Book of Mormon yesterday. It took me 2 months. Woohoo. The impressions I got this time while reading were how merciful the Lord is and that His arms are always extended towards us and inviting us to repent to change. I felt God's love and the love He has for His children. Pres. Higbee spoke on Sunday of the gift of the Book of Mormon and the gifts of the Wiseman of 1820's who brought us this great gift to know truth. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that by believing and knowing comes more exceptions and responsibility and it comes with so many wonderful blessings. It is another gift from God to His children to let them know that He is. I know that Jesus is the Christ. This is a wonderful season to remember Him and reflect on our many blessings from Him and our Heavenly Father. I loved giving a young man Josh a Book of Mormon this week and saying We have a Gift for you Merry Christmas. Also, giving Christina a copy and knowing as she put it that her Grandpa was doing a jig in Heaven and because we had filled a longing that she has had since being a little girl. The gospel brings happiness. Love and Miss you all. Share the greatest gift of truth with those you love (in other words share your witness.) Merry Christmas.

12/13/2010- Transfers Brings Change

Hi Everyone,
Just to fill everyone transfers are in and I am moving. Not that far just to the other side of Cheney! It's bitter sweet. I am leaving behind my family ward. But picking up a lot of work in the YSA ward. There are 3 on dates so it will be amazing to work with them to help them prepare for baptism. Sister Hirata and I will be companions. This is her last transfer of her outbound. She is a temple square sister. I am moving into the apartment. Address to come next week. I'll be doing a lot more walking in the elements. This week has been warm in the 30-40 degrees. I am wearing a couple less layers. Today will be emotional as I go and say goodbyes to Anna and Bob and Trisha, Wayne and the girls. Brother Kiddoo lives out in Sprague so I'll just call. Sister Vathauer is way excited because she'll be training this transfer. Can't wait to see who she gets tomorrow.

This last week was good. We had miracles. One lady who we have been trying to contact for months finally let us in. The Spirit was so strong in her apartment. She still wasn't willing to change and come back but was able to say where she is on her journey. She felt ashamed and embarrassed but we welcomed her back. We heart attacked her and another family in the ward that has recently been reactivated with blessings of attending sacrament meeting on the different hearts. It might not count in the data collected at the end of the week but it felt so good to share love in a way of encouragement. It was good that I finally listened to the prompting and did it especially now that I won't be their missionary. I saw the look of gratitude as I passed by the father of the one family Sunday. It's amazing what it does to know people believe in you and that you're loved.

Please keep Don Anderson's son in your prayers. His name is Keith Donald Anderson. He was just diagnosed with stage four cancer. Don has sought help from his new faith and is extending an invitation for his son to receive a blessing. I don't know how to express what peace that brings. Except for I know the power of the priesthood.

The family who let us in last week, where the lady was intoxicated, was an interesting adventure. The live outside of Cheney and they weren't as receptive when we went out earlier in the week but she invited us to come on her day off. It work! Last night as I offered up a prayer, I knew I was exercising my faith to use the miles to go out there without a set appointment in hopes that they'd listen. She did! I grew out the steps of the gospel. She asked questions about the different steps. It was beautiful. Most the time we have to offer the things we bring and invite them to hang them up. She was so eager she asked for it, and had her daughter hang it on the wall where her youngest son can not reach it. When she talked of how important her children are to her we explained that our families can be sealed. I left smiling as her words replayed in my head that's what I want. I want my family sealed. =)

Sunday, Sister Floyd, the daughter in law of the Sister Floyd, gave a beautiful talk on faith. She said how God has this amazing way of being able to answer prayers that allow all of His children to be blessed. She said to more profoundly but that expresses the main idea. I loved it. I know that prayers are answered.

We had an amazing week with Trisha and Wayne. One because Trisha had us assist in making Christmas Chocolate Goodness. She has discovered was to make milk free fudge with coconut milk! Two was Trisha fasted for 4 days and made a deal with God, even though she said she didn't that her inquiry to know will be answered by 2/14/11. That she'll know what she needs to do. Trisha and Wayne have become a part of the ward. Trisha said I threw her under the bus because I whispered to Suzy to grab Trisha on the way up to sing the R.S. hymn in sacrament meeting. She could hear me which I am sure is no surprise. It's a great feeling to see those you invite to change belong. Wayne likes teasing us about the people who pretend like their not home. He even included it in his prayer that we would be able to contact those who dodge the Sisters.
All in all good week! I am starting to feel better so thanks for all the prayers that are offered in my behalf. Pictures to come. I love Christmas time. I am enjoying share my witness of Jesus Christ. I know He lives and I know he brings healing to the wounds we cannot see. Love you all bunches.

12-6-2010= Weekly update

Aloha Friends and Family!
I forgot my camera cord this week. Oops. It was a rough morning. I've been sick for the last couple weeks. My memory seems to be going with it. But the Work continues to move forward. I've been so humbled. My priesthood blessing talked of me fulfilling my purpose even through illness however it would not be taken from me but to continue to focus on my Heavenly Father and increasing my faith in Jesus Christ. It really is submitting to His will and remembering your His.

Michelle is getting baptized on December 31, 2010!!!! I am so excited for her. We meet with her yesterday and her mom said she could and wondered if she was too old to convert. =) She didn't know which day to pick. I suggested the 31st. It beginning a new life and at the end of a year and being given the sealing gift of the Holy Ghost in the new year. What a way to start off the year. She is excited and ready. It's going to be such a blessing in her life.

Trisha and Wayne are amazing. We had an amazing lesson with Wayne this last week. He knows the gospel is true! Certain things have to happen before they can be baptized still but we'll continue to build their faith. We got to help them put up their Christmas tree. It's becoming something really reflective for me. To think about the Savior and what he has done for me and what I can possible give Him in return. The Christmas Devotional rang true for me last night. The gift I can give Him is my witness of Him. I know He lives and any sacrifice is worth it to obtain and maintain that knowledge. I love the story of the Grinch. Remember to allow your hearts to change and to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Trisha, Wayne and the girls came to the Ward Christmas party, along with several others we had invited. That made us supper happy. We continually invite with no actual commitment or the list long of excuses. It was a miracle. We have been blessed with several new people to teach this last week.

One story I want to share, was feeling that we should stop at this one families home. We did. The mother was intoxicated and in tears. Their family is going through things I hope no one ever has to experience. I'll I could do for her was wrap my arms around her and tell her I love her. She just broke down. She wants to change to be better for her kids. We told her how the gospel could help her. Her husband has even warmed up to us. The listened and prayed with us. I felt like we were called there at that specific moment to comfort them. We were their angels that night.

Sunday I bore my testimony in the YSA ward. The other set of Sister's had investigators there who would not deter their eyes from me. It really surprised me. Even in Sunday School I was prompted to speak up and guide the lesson. I testified of Elder Holland and his call and his testimony of the Book of Mormon he gave October 2009. I was able to say how I was in the conference center and how it felt being in there. We need to look for how we feel when seeking truth.

Bob and Anna have invited us over for a sleigh ride and chili tonight. We are excited. I love this work. I know it is true. I know the Savior lives.
Thanks for the mail this last week. It really helped to uplift my Spirits. You know who you are.
Love always and forever

11/29/10= 30 degrees is warm??

Hi Everyone!
The weather has proved to be very eventful this week. On Monday evening we received a text- park the cars and walk. We bundled up and I entered into the blizzard. I looked like a maroon marshmallow with sunglasses to protect my eyes. I wear my sunglasses at night has a whole new meaning for me. 30 degrees now feels warm compared to the negative 12 we experienced here early last week. The snow has helped us get into doors and homes. =) So there is a positive to all the snow. Not to mention driving in it.
Monday evening I lead FHE for the YSA a ward. A scripture chase from questions of the soul from Preach My Gospel. It was fun to see them engaged in the scriptures. We talked about how the Book of Mormon is a book that brings answers.
Tuesday we embraced the cold to and went tracting. This one man commended us on being brave. Trisha and Wayne let us in to read scriptures and warm up. We went and visited Sister Ireland. She has an amazing horse collection. She sculpts and designs them for shows. I thought of how much fun Quinn and my Mom would have had in her home. Sister Martinez took us out to dinner. It was great to be in her vehicle that 4x4. It's amazing how peaceful and beautiful the world becomes as its covered in white. I remember that I was told I would slow down from living in Hawaii, it worked but winter here has succeeded. I am upping my Vitamin D.=)
Wednesday - I got a letter from Brother Neal when I got home from District meeting. We used the PRO card with Trisha and Wayne at their lesson. Zoe put it on the refrigerator for me. That's truly what we are trying to do become PRO's for the Lord. It takes Prayer, Reading scriptures, and Obedience. Just as if we wanted to be a Pro- golfer, basketball player, dancer etc. It requires sacrifice. If we want to become, we have to do. (Thanks Brother Neal.) We were finally able to watch Just a Stone Cutter with Bob and Anna. That was an answer to prayers. Bob wanted to see that film before he was baptized because his son had told him how it had helped in his conversion. I had prayer earnestly for this film for weeks but we acquired it along with the film Joseph Smith Prophet of the Restoration. Wow what a true man. He understood that it is our gift to act instead of being acted upon. These small things have helped to encourage me to keep going even when I became ill again. I find strength that is beyond myself. I love it. I know that it is the Saviors grace being applied to my life to do His work. We have been searching for the YSA members thus far we have discovered a lot of them have moved. This particular evening while searching for an apartment building we both felt impressed to knock on a door. The young lady was busy and not really interested but accepted a card and an invitation to check out mormon.org. We both left feeling like a seed was planted!
Thanksgiving was a blast! We ate with Jim and Echo and their beautiful girls. They have truly made a 180 this last month. It's been amazing to watch. Their home even feels different (better). It's amazing what living the gospel does for our lives. The girls wanted to sing primary songs. I am so glad the Spirit comes with my horse voice and out of tune singing. Sorry Gramee. But as I sang Families can be together forever I was reminded of how impacting and converting these songs are and how I came to know the gospel. There is such power in music. I could feel the embrace of the Spirit and that these beautiful young girls would be strong in the gospel. Second Dinner was at Don and Peggy's. They went above and beyond to make it gluten and milk free. It was amazing. I quickly found my place in the kitchen. preparing the gravy, eggs, etc. Don pulled out China from Japan he has never used for over 40 years to feed the 5 Sister missionaries. It was like being home. It was truly amazing to recognize our blessings around the table. We stopped at Jessie's. She literally glowed and was much more recieptive to our presence. She agreed to meet with us again! There is just so much to be grateful for.
Friday I couldn't move. It was my sick day. One day I'll share the details but I was so grateful to sleep. Sister V went on exchanges with the other Sisters. While Sister Floyd doctored me with turkey soup and zinc.
Saturday- I got to try Elk at the Peacocks. It was so good. Brother Peacock was not pleased with the end result but we enjoyed.
Sunday- We got to see President and Sister Palmer at the YSA ward. I was so happy to see them. Sister Vathauer has noticed how he responds differently to both of us. I just love watching the two of them interact and receive us. It is so amazing to serve with them. Michelle wants to get baptized! We are so excited. The Spirit kept impressing on my mind that she need to ask her parents first before setting a date so remember her in your prayers this week. I was reminded of Jordan's conversion last year around the same time. It is so amazing to see young people believe and know. Such a blessing. The Lord is blessing us here. One other exciting thing for me was I was finally the first to call in our weekly report. I am usually last. It surprised Elder LaBonte. The field is white here (literally), snow, ice, sleet, or blizzard the work will go forth. I know that my Savior lives. Keep reading your Book of Mormons for 2/14/11! I am already on page 300 for our missionary challenge for Christmas. Trisha is trying to beat me.
Love you all bunches. Hope that the weather is treating you nicely and that you all found time to Thank Heavenly Father for your blessings and enjoyed the feasting on turkey day. Remember that the Holiday seasons is the greatest time to share the best gift of the gospel with those you know and meet.
Love

11/22/2010- I am in a Snow Globe!

Hi Everyone! Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!
It may be fall but the weather outside is saying winter. There is Snow everywhere. I had my first opportunity to shovel snow this morning. It is truly beautiful but a hassle to drive into. I like being ready and able to warm up the car and swept off the snow. We got a brand new Malibu with 41 miles on it last Monday. Elder Davenport told us it was the coveted new car by the zone leaders and AP's but that he had someone special in mind. Luckily it was us! I am being a much more cautious driver having been entrusted with it. We only had 33,800 miles or so on our old car. What a blessing to be so well taken care of. We saw a tender mercy as my prayers were answered for the weather to allow us safe travel to and from Sprague this last week.
We got to attend the ward council meeting for the ward mission plan for this next year here. It's amazing how much effort goes into the Lord's work and the willingness of those that attended. Each of us varies in what we are willing to do. It's always remarkable to me how much of ourselves we are willing to give to the Lord. It was neat to feel the Spirit of Missionary Work take hold. This week we were blessed with the Joseph Smith Prophet of the Restoration DVD and the much sought after Only a Stone Cutter (Bob had asked to see). We watched the Joseph Smith movie with Trisha and Wayne and the girls. I was the decoy for the scary parts. Everyone here is getting sick with colds and flu bugs. Luckily we have both been able to remain healthy to keep engaging in this great work. We stopped by Trisha and Wayne's Saturday to find Trisha sick. Wayne volunteered to pray and asked for Trisha to be well so she could come to church Sunday. It was a great witness of his faith. Sunday came and Trisha was still under the weather but he came to church on his own. It's remarkable to see the change in them.
We've done a lot of teaching outside in the cold this week. We meet a lot of smokers. So we know we have a good 5 minutes to talk to them. Friday night we got into Cheney and decided to start contacting all the YSA who do not have their photo in the directory. I thought Sis. V had said 234 so when she knocked on 233 I asked her why. 233 was where the member lived, who was not home so we simultaneously knocked on both and Cody came to the door at 234. He talked to us. His friends are on missions right know and then we asked him if he wanted a Book of Mormon. He did. We ran back to the car and came back bundled up and talked to him on his front doorstep. It was amazing as his questions came to the surface as we invited him to read. It was truly a miracle. Cody wasn't ready to schedule any return appointment but said we could stop by again.
Sister Vathauer's birthday was amazing! Trisha and Wayne and our ward mission leader were able to pull off a surprise dinner for her. It was awesome. The members were amazing in making it a special day for her.
Check out these profound scriptures. While in companionship study we found a quote by Elder Bednar (sp) about God's work and our work. Moses 1:39 and D&C 11:40. We been sharing this as our spiritual thought. Each time we walk away with new insights. It seems to be when we find a thought we like we use it over and over but fortunately it is so different each time.
I am so grateful to have all of you in my life. For the experiences I've had that have developed me into the person I am today and that the Lord can use them to help His children learn of Him. I know that Jesus is the Christ. We can all have this same witness by reading from the Book of Mormon. I am grateful to have been blessed with a divine witness that this is truth. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been the leading influence in who I am today. I am so amazed at how blessed I am. Thank you to everyone who supports, encourages, loves and prays for me. I know that my life is truly blessed because I know all of you.
Be safe and enjoy the Holidays.
Love always

11/15/2010=I know my Savior lives!

Hi everyone!
We had our family ward primary program yesterday! It was beautiful. The title of the email was their theme. It was amazing and the Spirit was there so strong. They together taught the first lesson of PMG with their own sweet testimonies and songs. It was a great feeling to know these amazing souls and to see them exercise their faith in such a simple and profound way. Wayne enjoyed it and found it entertaining as well.
This last week has been humbling. Trying to rebuild the YSA ward teaching pool has presented to be more of a challenge than I would care to admit. I found myself in prayer this morning trying to find what it is that needs to change. I felt impressed to read my notes from the MTC when Elder Holland came to speak. It reminded me of the feelings and the things I specifically needed to pray for. I was reminded of the request he made of me that I felt with my whole being is that you should return from your mission with one convert you. I continually feel this happening in my life. Becoming truly converted requires my willingness and all you can do sometimes is continue to move forward and to work. Reading the Book of Mormon this time is truly strengthening my witness that this is true. I feel it as I read and as I testify. On Sunday we had an amazing 3rd by Brother Moss in the YSA ward. He broke down Modesty. Every commandment is spiritual so why don't we obey. We don't understand the eternal principle. It's all about eternal families. We are given guidelines but their are eternal consequences. Our self-judgment requires us to act and that allows us to grow spiritually. Agency. It's knowing who you are - a son or daughter of God. I can't express how impacting his lesson was but the Spirit testified to me that all this is for our eternal families. We choose individually but our consequences affect our eternal families. The gospel is getting us back to live with the Father. So anyway of helping to invite people (our friends, family, check out people, the fast food attendant, our ancestors) to come to Christ is worth it. Begin with an end in mind. Eternity- the closest thing to knowing that is the temple.

We finally got into a less active lady's house in Tyler. The Spirit came so strong as we invited her to read the Book of Mormon. She desires her family to be sealed. I can see why. She has to precious children and a husband who loves her. I am always humbled at the things I am able to promise through the Spirit of the things that will come into people’s lives if they will act on the invitations we give them. I felt love for this family and all that awaits them. I know there is hope if we will be the example of living the gospel. Miracles happen in our lives as we show our conversion to the Lord through the trail of our faith. I promised her that her husband would be ready to receive the gospel as she reads the Book of Mormon from cover to cover. This is such an amazing experience to love and feel the love our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for the people here and how much they want to bless all of us if we come unto Him.

One tender mercy of this past week was Matt. Campus Contacting is a great way to meet YSA. The Spirit gravitated Sister Vathauer and I to him. My response to the impression, Can we go to the guitar guy. He was playing his Christian alternative music. We had a great lesson right in the open quad. We are hoping that we can meet with him and his friend this week.

Trisha and Wayne made us our first Thanksgiving dinner. It was amazing. We were not expecting the feast that was prepared. We are so grateful to them being willing to listen and they have a lot of things that they need to live before they can be baptized. One of which is the Word of Wisdom. Wayne has finally picked a date to quit smoking 12/1/10!!!! I am excited for them. It makes it all worth it to see the light come on in their eyes.

Bob is doing great. He is preparing to receive the Aaronic priesthood. It's amazing to see him progress in the gospel and to feel and seethe changes in him after becoming a member. It's such a witness of conversion.

District meeting the last two weeks I've had the opportunity to teach with Elder Kitchen and Elder Wilson. It is way different but have been able to learn a lot. I am getting more comfortable with using analogies and inviting people to be called Sister and Brother.

While am off to another great week. Oh Yeah this last week we had our first snow fall. Bob called to tell us to go outside and play in it. I couldn't get myself to leave the warmth of the fire burning stove in Sister Floyd's den. But it did put a smile on my face.

This week - Sister Vathauer's birthday is Friday. I am plotting something with Trisha for a surprise dinner for her. Wayne is trying to bust us but to no avail. I am glad I can do something fun for her and well have interviews this week. Am looking forward to seeing President Palmer.

Love you all bunches. Thank you so much for all your support and prayers. I know this is God's work.
Love always and forever,
Sister Peck

11/8/2010= Am not superman but I am a missionary!

Hi Everyone the last week has been amazing.
Transfer calls are in and all four Sisters are staying in Cheney in the same companionship's.
So after P-day last week. We had a blast doing the work here.
Wednesday was amazing. We had a lesson with Trisha and Wayne and we had a lesson on the importance of ending our prayers in the Name of Jesus Christ. I was the decoy for the girls with coloring pages and crayons but Wayne's response of why was beautiful - Because he is the Savior. His light is increasing and you can see the change in his countenance. They got a double dose of us as they had dinner at Bob and Anna's that evening. It was amazing being able to see them all interact and the Spirit work with all of them. Trisha got to see she isn't the only one who gives us a hard time and we were able to finally teach them the plan of salvation. We are now planning on setting up a temple visit with them and some of the ward members. Should be interesting. This was the day I finally sought help for my ears. It took a few days to get a doctor to prescribe me something yet we have seen many miracles as my body continues to be my humbling agent.
Thursday- Paper work. We helped Brother Sampson, our ward mission leader get organized and coordinated. We have really seen ward participation in missionary work take off. We have been inviting all the members of our ward to read the Book of Mormon by 2/14/11. It's been amazing. We have really been focusing on the Book of Mormon as the tool to help in conversion. Even with the active members. It's building momentum! Chase, one the roommates asked how does this apply to me. At some point we have to just be willing to try it out. Luke is doing great and is still on date for November 20th. We are hoping he can gain his witness by then. But I have seen it happen before. The act of faith and then the assurance comes. Just like with tithing or any other principle of the gospel. Living it gives us the witness that personal to our own circumstances.
Friday- Sprague -Miles has been struggling with his back. But when he heard I needed a blessing he was moved to action. It was the sweetest Spirit in his home as Brother Tulett and Miles administered the blessing. My fail moments or lows or pains are being used to build His Kingdom here. I love it. I had the greatest assurance that am where am suppose to be helping His children hear what He wants for them. On our way back to Cheney we stopped by Anna and Bob's. Bob had craved beautiful ornaments for us. Mine were butterflies that were originally in the scrap pile but had been sanded and oiled now. That made them more valuable to me. That there is hope. It hard to explain but it just struck me. Almost like the story of the touch of the Master's hand.
Saturday- We got to go on another field trip to get me antibiotics. That evening at trunk or treat reminded me of how fitting it was that I was bundled up with cotton in my ears and enduring the cold like when I was little. We had a great turn out. Trisha and Wayne came with the girls and they even provided us with buckets to go around too. I was able to identify a little boy of a family we continually are trying to reach out and build trust for. And a young women who lives with members, who we are trying to teach was seeking us out. We were so ecstatic. Oh and when they mean it starts at 7 they mean it. The whole thing was done and over and the parking lot cleared out by 7:35 pm. It was amazing.
Sunday- Miracle outward expression of inward change. Are you ready??? Wayne wore a white shirt and a tie to Church! =) We are just beaming.
The work is great here and I am excited to continue moving it along. The wards are not only catching the colds but most importantly the missionary bug. I know that this is Jesus Christ work. I am coming to know Him more as I am reading the Book of Mormon with a purpose. Love you all bunches. Keep praying for your own missionary experiences. And share them please. I love and feel all your prayers in my behalf. Thank you.
Love your

October 26-This week is busy

Hi Everyone!
I'll send more pictures next week we went to the temple today! It was good just to feel at peace. We have recently had an increase in the YSA ward teaching pool. Thank you for all your prayers. We have been bolder in our invitations to be baptized.
Zone Conference really reminded us of the importance of the Book of Mormon. President Palmer gave each missionary a new blue Book of Mormon and has challenged us to read it by Christmas. As we read we are highlighting all the references to Jesus Christ. It is amazing. I want to challenge all of you to read the Book of Mormon by 2/14/2011. It will bless your life whatever you are lacking or desiring in your life right know will be answered within those pages. It is the tool to conversion.
Thank you for all your prayers for Bob. He got his answer through a burning bush. Yup that's right and he captured it on camera. It was a sun dog. It’s a reflection of the Sun on a cloud that made the tree appear to be on fire. It was truly the Holy Ghost that gave him his confirmation but just another fun miracle! Picture to come through Brother Ames. Bob's baptism was amazing. The Spirit was so strong. You could see the light in his countenance and his conversion in his eyes. He knew it was true there were so many moments I wish I could express. It comes down to its true. If we have a real desire to know as it talks about in the introduction to the Book of Mormon you will know it’s true.
I love this work. The love I felt from and for Bob's family increased as we witnessed his mighty change of heart. My soul has been enlarged as we have taught him and seen who he has become.
Quick notes of interest: Allred family I meet Elder Williams from Hawaii. It was fun experience. We couldn’t quite place how we were supposed to know each other. :)
Darvil =thank you for the letter. It really made me smile.
Ryan Martz= congrats on being engaged.=)
Tara- Congrats on being sealed this week.
Tre - Love you bunches. I lit up when I saw the colored envelope. Hope school is going well.
If Brother Rowberry can be contacted- thank you for helping the young man from here. =)
The work is going great here and I know it's worth it. Thank you to everyone for your support and sacrifices you make on my behalf and the prayers that are offered up for me and for the people here. It really does make a difference and prayers are answered.
Love you all bunches. Keep striving to live the gospel it's worth it.
