It's snowing again will winter ever end but their is hope the sun is staying up longer. =)
Hi from Snowy Cheney. The world is becoming white and cold again. We were able to make an arrangement with the other Sisters and now have a schedule for the use of the car! Sister Hughes is most pleased and I am getting to drive more frequently again. The other Sisters are having adjustment issues but sacrifice just makes you stronger.
This last week Mike L. set a date to be baptized! March 26, here we come. He'll be baptized at the same time as his son, John. Nicole is delighted. We all are. He's been living the Word of Wisdom for a week. He still needs a lot of prayers so please remember him. He's gaining more and more strength to do what's right and he's doing it for himself what makes it even better.
Tracy is alive. We had lost contact with her but we were finally invited back after being able to call her. It was disheartening not to be able to answer her question as well as was needed, but I know as she continues to do what we invite her to do that she'll gain her witness.
The meal policy has changed here. The members are a little frazzled by the new rule that in order to feed us on weekdays they must have a nonmember present. It's going to be an interesting adjustment phase and we shall see how they rise to the occasion.
So my favorite thing from this last week is that I am still using what I learned in Chad Ford's classes about the box. President Palmer knows about the box which made it so much easier to relate to him the interactions with our new ward mission leader. Luckily we were able to have an out of the box experience. That was an exact answer to my prayers.
We are working on finding and have begun to see miracles. Like yesterday when the one young man we went to contact was at the residence but he no longer lives there. It was one of those moments you know who you are being lead for.
Mike G. is doing amazing. He is truly teaching me. His lessons are sacred. The Spirit comes so strong. It is beautiful to be a part of his journey back. The Spirit has been inspiring me with scriptures and commitments to invite with. It's truly changing how I teach. We even used a song to reflect on and talk about light and how we can trust. He is so engaged in his own conversion. He's lending a hand and at everything he can be at. It makes this month’s Ensign so much more applicable to see it happening.
Tyler has been teaching us. He made his own lesson plans and had added questions to get our involvement. They were application questions, but it also helped him to answer some of his concerns and to help strengthen his testimony. What was treasured is he was able to recognize the Spirit working with him to be quiet and listen. I know the Holy Ghost is real. We can truly make him our friend and he'll trust and confide in us so we can do the Lord's will.
I love this gospel. It's true. You find out by living it. We have been striving to live our purpose. It's an amazing experience to know whose you are and who you are.
Hope everyone is having missionary experiences. "I pray, get answers, & do what am told." If we did this we would all be better - people in every aspects of our lives.
Love you all bunches
Love forever and always Sister Peck
